Where we're headed · What we're building toward

From cue to cue sheet.
And beyond.

Right now, the same song's information gets rebuilt over and over. A supervisor identifies a cue, researches ownership, emails labels and publishers, explains the use, requests quotes, negotiates, tracks approvals, coordinates licenses, updates budgets and hands off details for the cue sheet. Everyone keeps their own version of the same facts.

SuperWiser already organizes all of that for the supervisor. What we're building toward is bigger: information that travels with the cue through its entire life, so the work done at the first cue stays useful, accurate and connected all the way through licensing, delivery and everything after.

This page describes our direction. Some of it is in SuperWiser today; the connected, two-way parts are what we're building next. We label which is which below.

Beyond

One well-structured request starts a connected process, with each authorized participant contributing and confirming their part.

The connected workflow

The information a cue carries should never be built twice.

1

Start with the cue

Available now

A supervisor creates a cue inside a project: the recording, artist, scene, intended use and whatever ownership information is known. Every use stays individually identifiable, even when the same song appears more than once.

2

Create one structured licensing request

Available now

One common format captures what rights holders actually need: project, production company, song and recording, scene, use type, duration, media, territory, term, promotional rights, proposed fee and response deadline. Enter it once, then share the right details with each party. The format still flexes to different requirements and individually negotiated terms.

3

Connect the people who control the rights

Building toward

Publishers, labels, administrators and independent artists receive the request and confirm or correct the information for the rights they control: the share they hold, their quote, their conditions, their approval. Master and publishing stay separately tracked, with a clear view of what's still outstanding.

4

Keep negotiations and confirmations attached to the cue

Building toward

Requests, responses, revised terms and confirmations stay on the same record. Everyone sees the current version, what changed and who confirmed what, according to their permissions. A quote, an approval and an executed license are different milestones, and the platform keeps them distinct.

5

Carry verified information into delivery

In SuperWiser today, growing

Confirmed metadata and agreed terms feed budgets, clearance summaries, license tracking and credits. Actual editorial usage, timing and duration combine with verified writer, publisher and PRO information so the cue sheet grows out of work already done, then reconciles against the finished production.

6

Extend the connection beyond the cue sheet

Building toward

The same record can carry into delivery tracking, corrections, renewals, expanded uses, new territories, additional campaigns and reporting. A future request builds on what already exists and states plainly what new permission is needed. Better information moving downstream supports more accurate reporting and fewer mismatches.

Why it matters

Everyone works from the same, verified information.

SuperWiser's immediate value is organizing the supervisor's work. Its future value grows as everyone else can connect to that work.

Supervisors & coordinators

Less duplicate entry, fewer follow-ups, and a clear picture of what's cleared and what still needs attention.

Publishers, labels & rights holders

Complete, consistent requests. Clearer use descriptions. Fewer missing details. A direct way to verify your information and communicate decisions.

Studios, producers & legal

Better visibility into costs, permissions, restrictions, outstanding issues and delivery readiness.

Music editors & cue sheet teams

Verified information connected to actual usage, with fewer gaps to reconstruct at the end.

Creators

A stronger trail connecting your work to how it's used and reported.

We're building toward a shared industry workflow, not claiming to be one yet. Today SuperWiser organizes the supervisor's side completely. The connected side grows as more participants join it.

A common way to request, confirm and carry music information forward.

One well-structured request, contributed to and confirmed by each authorized participant, then carried forward as the production moves. That's the thread we're building: the work done at the first cue, still useful and accurate all the way through.

Every cue. Every right. Every dollar. One place.
Less administration. More supervision.

Help build it

Help shape connected music licensing.

We're building this with the people who live in this workflow. If you're a publisher, label, administrator, rights holder, studio or production team, we'd like to talk about what a connected request-and-confirm process should look like.

Supervisors can start today. Everyone else, come build the connected part with us.
